STOCK SEDAN;

Indoor Carpet Road Coarse Stock Rubber Rules: Proposed
 

Follow the ROAR rules for 1/10 Electric On-Road T-2 Touring Car with some exceptions; That is:
 

Tire & Wheel: Only Jaco "Rubberz" Pre-mounted Rubber Sedan Tire in the Med-Firm (Blue) compound (Part number JAC2432). No exceptions.
 

Chassis: Any four wheel drive, independent suspension, touring car chassis is allowed (any era or brand). All four wheels must be driven (no disconnecting belts or shafts). One-ways, spools, or differentials can be used. No multi-speed transmissions.
 

Ride Height: Must be at least 5mm in race ready condition.
 

Weight: 1420gm minimum
 

Width: 190mm maximum without body, 195mm maximum with body
 

Body Rules:  Racers are encouraged to use 190mm bodies that meet the ROAR Global Body Specifications for 1/10 Electric On-Road T-2 Touring Car Bodies or at least resemble 2 or 4 door cars that have raced in a Touring Car series. Gross exceptions should be approved by the race director, especially if the body could be perceived (real or imaginary) as having a performance advantage.
 

·       Wheel arch cut-outs at a maximum of 9.5mm over the tire diameter
·       No windows may be cut out.
·       Only one wing allowed, fixed to the same place as the wing on the full-size vehicle.
·       The wing must be fastened to the rear deck of the body, not directly to any part of the chassis of the vehicle.
 

Battery: Both LiPo and sub-C NiCd/NiMh are allowed. No adjustments to the minimum weight required with either choice.
 

·       Any ROAR approved hard-cased 2 cell (nominal 7.4V)  LiPO up to and including 5400 mAH capacity.
·       Any ROAR approved 6 cell pack of NiCd/NiMh sub-C size cells rated at 1.2V/cell (7.2V nominal for the pack).
 

Motor: Any ROAR approved 17.5 turn brushless stock motor or any ROAR approved 27T brushed motor with fixed timing at a maximum of 24 degrees.
 

Electronic Speed Control: No restrictions
 

Gearing: No restrictions

VTA rules basically, having fun is #1.

The race director may allow minor deviations if it improves appearance or fun and does not give a speed advantage!

1. 25.5 NOVAK brushless with 2 cell lipo, FDR of 4.7 or higher

2. Traxxas 20 turn stinger motor. Stinger motored cars must run  4 cell nicad or nimh batteries.

The suggested tires are HPI tire part #4793 front and #4797 rear, using stock tire inserts provided with tire and any HPI Vintage wheels designed to fit these tires. All other tires and/or part numbers are illegal. Five or Eight spoke wheels available in various colors. 0mm offset front wheels and 6mm offset rear wheels are intended for 26mm width fronts and 31mm width rear tires. 8-spoke Vintage wheels from #3805 through #3814, 5-spoke Vintage wheels from #3815 through #3822 and Vintage stock car wheels from #3854 through #3860, Vintage Wheel CC Type #33472 and #33473, Vintage Wheel DTP Type #33474 and #33475 are all legal wheels. Others allows with RD's approval.

GENERAL TRACK RULES

          NO CAR MAY HAVE METAL OR OTHER PARTS MEANT TO DAMAGE OTHER CARS. NOR EXTENDED BUMPERS OR OTHERWISE TO KNOCK OTHER CARS OUT OF THE WAY.

          ALL OPEN WHEEL CLASSES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A GEAR COVER-NO EXCEPTIONS.

          ANY CAR DRAGGING OR OTHERWISE DAMAGING THE TRACK WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED

 

 

RACERS ARE REQUIRED TO CORNER MARSHAL THE RACE AFTER THEIRS,

          IF A RACER HAS A PHYSICAL CONDITION THAT DISALLOWS MARSHALLING DUTIES, IT IS THAT RACERS RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND A REPLACEMENT AND TO INFORM THE RACE DIRECTOR.

 

DRIVERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR FREQUENCIES AND FREQUENCY CONFLICTS. RACERS MUST RESOLVE ANY CONFLICTS BETWEEN THEMSELVES AND INFORM THE RACE DIRECTOR OF ANY CHANGES.

 

THE PIT AREA SHOULD REMAIN AS CLEAN AS THE RACER FINDS IT, THIS IS A TEAM EFFORT.

 

PIT TOWELS ARE REQUIRED!!!! 

 

RACE/TECH DIRECTORS DECISION IS FINAL CONCERNING ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS.

 

ALL CLASS RULES ARE MADE AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE AND LEAVE SOME THINGS TO INTERPRETATION, RACERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO MODIFY THEIR CARS AND TRY NEW THINGS, BUT PLEASE KEEP IT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE RULES. ALL MODIFICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO RACE/TECH DIRECTORS INSPECTION.

 

THE TRACK IS MADE OF DIRT OR CARPET , BUT NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE, PLEASE RESPECT THE TRACK SURFACE AND THE WORK THAT GOES INTO IT.

 

INTENTIONAL CRASHING AND/ OR HORSEPLAY ON THE TRACK WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. ANY DRIVER FOUND TO COMPROMISE SPECTATOR, MARSHAL, OR RACER SAFETY WILL BE EJECTED.

 

REVERSE AND DRIVING BACKWARD ON THE TRACK IS NEVER ALLOWED. DRIVERS WIL BE GIVEN ONE WARNING FOLLOWED BY A BLACK FLAG.

 

CLASSES WITH REGULATED MOTORS AND BATTERIES ARE SUBJECT TO A TWO RACE GRACE PERIOD FOR NEW RACERS, PLEASE SEE RACE/TECH DIRECTOR FOR DETAILS.

 

CARS BREAKING IN THE MAIN WILL BE OUT FOR THE DURATION OF THE RACE (UNLESS AN EASY REPAIR BY A CORNER MARSHAL).  CARS THAT FAIL ON THE TRACK WILL BE PLACED BY A CORNER MARSHAL IN A SAFE SPOT.  NO RETRIEVING VEHICLES UNTIL THE RACE HAS ENDED.

 

 

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR USING LIPO BATTERIES;

ALL PACKS MUST BE 2 CELL (7.4V) ONLY

ALL BATTERIES MUST BE CHARGED USING LIPO SAFE CHARGERS

NO BATTERY MAY HAVE AN EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF MORE THAN 105* F

NO BATTERY CAN READ MORE THAN 8.42V AT ANY TIME

ALL BATTERIES MUST BE IN PROTECTIVE HARD CASE

ALL BATTERIES MUST BE CHARGED IN A LIPO SAFE CHARGING BAG.

ANY RACER FOUND TO BE CHARGING LIPO BATTERIES WHILE STILL INSTALLED IN VEHICLE WILL BE TARRED, FEATHERED, HUNG, DRAWN, QUARTERED, BOILED, AND EATEN (BY ZOMBIES).

SPECIALTY RACE NOTATIONS-

TOP 4 FINISHERS IN ANY SPECIAL RACE WILL BE REQUIRED TO GO TO TECH.

CAR WILL BE INSPECTED FOR CLASS RULES (RIDE HEIGHT, MOTOR, BATTERY) AND LIPO CUT OFF!
